MOA Farmer-to-Farmer Mentoring Program: Expectations of Menteeship

 

As a mentee in the MOA Farmer-to-Farmer Mentoring Program, you are expected to fulfill the following: 

  • Attend the Organic Farming Conference workshops and any available farm tours in February 2010 and 2011.
  • Work with the mentor for one crop season on his farm; or if you are currently farming your own land, consult with your mentor via phone calls or emails to discuss farming issues and to keep in touch on your organic certification progress.
  • Pay $200 to be part of this program to reimburse your mentor and to cover administration fees.
  • Cooperate with MOA to communicate project progress with MOA President periodically throughout the year.
  • Complete a final evaluation form.
